“Nothing at all, even though I had a caearean section I really don’t think I could have managed to be calm ahead of the day of the section. The relaxations & mantras were so helpful during the c section also.


We couldn’t recommend Sydney more, she filled us full of positivity & knowledge. Despite my birth not going to plan she was there with me every step of the way. Not only have I got a healthy baby out of all of this but I’ve also made a wonderful friend”

Question: did the course provide you with a sense of confidence & preparedness for your birth experience?


“Yes it definitely did, I found out towards the end of my pregnancy I would need an elective caesarean section & so we were able to tailor the course accordingly, I really appreciated Sydney carrying out sessions to prepare me particularly, when we went into hospital both my husband & I felt calm & prepared, we were able to put our playlist on in theatre that we used throughout our hypnobirthing journey which instantly helped to ease my nerves.


Everything Sydney taught us was clear & effective, she is so knowledgable & always happy to answer any questions we had. I really appreciated Sydney’s honesty & first hand experiences as a midwife to help with my questions. The relaxations we practiced together helped me to keep calm throughout pregnancy. Sometimes, as a dad-to-be you can feel like you don’t know what your role should be or how best to support your partner. After speaking with Sydney I can honestly say I feel more equipped to deal with the needs of both my wife & baby, during labour & post birth.


As a sceptic around all things ‘hypnosis’ I feel hypnobirthing sorely needs a new name. It is far from wishy-washy & instead practical, informative & enjoyable.”
